Manufactured Homes Program

This program is currently available to residents of Fresno, Kern, Kings, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Tulare (CA) Counties.

The Manufactured Homes Program provides no- and low-cost energy-efficiency improvements and replacement appliances to SoCalGas customers living in mobile or manufactured homes.  

Available equipment includes:

  • Faucet Aerators
  • Pipe Wrap
  • Free Standing Ovens
  • Efficient Shower Heads
  • Pool Heaters
  • ENERGY STAR® Water Heaters*
  • ENERGY STAR® Tankless Water Heaters*

How to apply

You can apply by clicking Contact Us and completing the online form. Or call 877-909-0930 to schedule your appointment. On the day of your appointment, a Staples Energy technician, following strict COVID-19 safety guidelines, will will arrive at your home and explain the program to you. He will perform a walk-through to determine which of the available measures can be installed in the home. Once you’ve approved the list of recommended upgrades, simple measures will be installed the same day. Measures that require permitting will be scheduled for a later date.

Our credentials

Staples Energy holds California licenses including Class B (General Building Contractor), Class C10 (Electrical), Class C20 (Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning) and Class C36 (Plumbing).

 

The Manufactured Home Program is funded by California utility customers and administered by Southern California Gas Company under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission, through a contract awarded to Staples Energy. Program funds, including any funds utilized for rebates or incentives, will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until such funds are no longer available. This program may be modified or terminated without prior notice. Customers who choose to participate in this program are not obligated to purchase any additional goods or services offered by Staples Energy or any other third party. The selection, purchase, and ownership of goods and/or services are the sole responsibility of customer. SoCalGas makes no warranty, whether express or implied, including the warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, of goods or services selected by customer.
